Once upon a time tearooms flourished in thousands of Southern cities and towns. Unfortunately, they have become only a fond memory of times long ago. Their graceful, white-gloved ladies sitting at leisurely luncheons have been replaced by the "jeans generation" gulping down computerized fast food with indifference.
Orange Blossom Tea Room is located in a brick building that was built around 1913. It's first ocupant was the Plant City Courier, the town's own newspaper. The Plant City Granite & Brick Company manufactured the bricks. Many of the buildings located between the two railroads are from the same era. Fires of 1907 and 1910 unfortunately destroyed most wooden structures.
